Where does my water come from?
·OnlineOnlineValley Water Director Shiloh Ballard will describe the complex combination of water supply sources and systems that provide water to Santa Clara County residences, businesses, agriculture, parks, and other uses. The presentation will also explain how climate change could impact water supply, and what Valley Water is doing to ensure there is enough water for the County in the future.
The 30-minute presentation will be followed by an approximately 30-minute question-and-answer period and group discussion about these or other water issues of interest to participants.

Hike Mission & Monument Peaks From the Wild East Side
Sunol visitor center, 1895 Geary Rd, Sunol, CA 94586, United States,, Sunol, CA, US**PLEASE NOTE: *This is not a Sierra Club-sponsored hike. *** This hike is listed as a convenience to members who might be interested. Participants will be required sign a liability waiver at the trailhead to release the leader from any liability for mishaps that may occur during the course of this event.
Climb Mission Peak from Sunol Regional Wilderness, the wild east side, and continue on to Monument Peak. Our route is mostly over fire roads, making for easy footing, though we will also be on some narrow trails. Great views of the South Bay and Alameda Creek watershed on this 15-mile, 2,500' elevation gain hike; a full day on the trail! (People who want a shorter hike can turn around at Mission Peak for an approximately 11-mile hike with 2,000' of elevation gain.)
Moderate pace; not for speed demons or gazelles, but not a hike for those just getting into shape. Hikers with relaxed attitudes most welcome.
• DO NOT attend if you are sick, coughing, sneezing, or have been around anyone who is sick.
Bring: Lunch, liquids, weather-appropriate clothing. Park entry fee is $5.
Return: approximately 6:45/7.
