Mid Week Hike - Skyline Ridge OSP
• What we'll do Join us this week as we will have the mid-week conditioning hike at Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve. These hikes are about 5 miles with up to 700 feet elevation gain. We move at a brisk pace, needing to be out of the parks just after sunset, along with steady uphill/downhills, so these are not considered beginning hikes. Arrive early at the Park and Ride for sign in and to carpool up the hill. We leave the P&R promptly at 5:45pm. Heavy rain cancels. Event covers 5-7 miles, with 700 feet of elevation. Wet weather, trail conditions may alter hike location. Please RSVP leader prior to confirm attendance, as space is limited due to OSP Park Permit. Meet at carpool location at 280 and Page Mill Road to leave by 5:45pm, or the Russian Ridge OSP parking lot at 6:10pm To attend one of our events, there is NO ADMISSION FEE, unless specified. This event is intended for Sierra Club Members and prospective members. People may attend our events on a limited basis before joining the club. What we're about

Enjoy a variety of hikes/events offered by the Sierra Club's Loma Prieta Sierra Singles section (LPSS), the Black Mountain Hiking Section (BMHS) and the Guadalupe Group which are based in the midpeninsula region. Most leaders have many years of experience leading hikes and often have a great knowledge of many open space areas and parks in the Bay area. LPSS hikes/events will be "singles events" and BMG and Guadalupe group events are "open to everyone". Most hikes will have organized carpool points. We also have fun off the trail with social events such as dinners, concerts, picnics, a Halloween Party, a Super Bowl Party and an Academy Awards party.
