AI By the Bay is the new AI conference from the creators of Data By the Bay, Text By the Bay, and Scala By the Bay.  It consists of three days carefully structured to review AI arena via learning with live coding(hai.ai), dig deep into a well-defined AI+IoT problem (self.driving.cars), and chart your AI deployment strategy with full-stack AI experts who both build AI systems and define its future(ai.vision).  



What’s New at AI By the Bay
AI By the Bay is emerging as a world-class technical conference defining AI technology and strategy.  The first day is overview with live coding, the second is self.driving.cars, and the third is AI strategy from hands-on industry leaders.  Regular Admission ends on 2/21 and Late Bird begins 2/22.  Register soon!

Speaker Highlights
George Hotz broke into the iPhone, then into self-driving cars with comma.ai, changing perspectives forever and making both accessible to the masses.  Hear his story, and what's next, atself.driving.cars.
Vitaly Gordon, VP of Data Science and Data Engineering at Salesforce Einstein, will show, with live coding, Machine Learning Done Right at hai.ai.
Lior Ron co-founded Otto, a self-driving trucks startup, that was acquired by Uber a few months out of stealth for around $700 million.  Now the Otto trucks are carrying self-driving Uber cars.  Hear Lior in a fireside chat at self.driving.cars.
François Chollet is the creator of Keras, a high-level API for Deep Learning, working as an abstraction on top of TensorFlow.  Francois will take about advances in theorem proving with Deep Learning.
AI will be regulated by the governments of the world.  How can the industry self-regulate ahead of it?  What are the fundamental principals we can teach AI, and how can we certify it will obey us?  Stuart Russell, the author of the key Russell-Norvig textbook on AI and head of the new UC Berkeley Center for Human-Compatible Artificial Intelligence, keynotes the ai.vision day of ai.bythebay.io.

The structure of the conference is optimized to throughly review the AI field via open-source stacks, focus on early real-world deployment lessons (self-driving cars), and consider organizational adoption and alignment as driven by AI technology and its pioneers, assuming the position of leadership across industries.
On Day One, you’ll see a lot of code and cover all the key AI concepts in action from the folks implementing them in production.
On Day Two, you’ll see an end-to-end problem, AI for driving, with its ecosystem of IoT, startups, and real-world deployments.
On Day Three, you will get a clear technical understanding of AI strategy based on the technology — how you and your company should master it.

How are we different from all the other AI conferences?  We are community-centric: we are meetups.  We continue to meet at bay.area.ai, and our partner meetups — SF Bay Area Machine Learning, SF Data Science, SF Data Mining, SF Big Analytics, and others.  We build out community-based research Cicero.AI Institute, a board of advisors including the conference and meetup speakers.  We do not have any sales talks or any sponsored talks, every talk is selected and invited based on the technical merit and its contribution to the overall AI story arc optimized for comprehensive technical mastery.
