Come chase the sunset at the newly constructed Everglades elevated
Boardwalk, which features a 3 level tower and a mostly unobstructed view west. Golden Hour Starts at 7:12, Sunset is 7:43, Blue Hour at 7:57. We’ll meet at 7:00 at the Giant Alligator Statue at the entrance to the boardwalk.

The boardwalk is located at Mile Marker 35 on Alligator Alley and should show up as "Everglades Elevated Boardwalk" for GPS users it's the south side of the second rest area after the toll on Alligator Alley (you will have to pay the toll)

There is a sign on the off ramp, I presume most of you will be coming from the east so you'll have to drive under the hwy and around to the boardwalk. There is a restroom and welcome center.

Bring mosquito repellant, loose fitting clothes, water, and a camera… oppportunities for wildlife, street photography, and of course atmospherics and the setting sun, if you'd like to stay later, there may be planets and or stars visible.

You are cordially invited to join our group for a great field photography workshop, offering opportunities to enjoy this unusual and fashionable South Florida area, to expand your artistic / technical photography knowledge, add new "know-hows" and images to your photography toolbox / portfolio... while enjoying our group's comradeship.

As advertised, the Miami Design District is known for its ever-expanding modern architecture, upscale design stores, public artwork, Art Galleries, luxury fashion and jewelry boutiques, as well as cafes and celebrity-chef restaurants… possibly surpassing Wynwood’s high-end value.

The workshop leader / instructor (Rafael) taught photography classes at all levels and has led many field photography outings for over 15 years and will be available during this shoot for specific tips, technical consultation, and photography information to capture better images and make this a memorable learning experience for you. This workshop is a “One-of-a-Kind” technically supported photoshoot with attention to practical learning for which there is a $10 fee.

We’ll meet in the heart of the Design District on the corner of NE 40 Street and NE 1 Avenue, at 10:00 AM. For your consideration, the Museum Parking Garage (Museum Garage, 90 NE 41st St, Miami, FL 33137) -around the corner from where we’ll meet, is probably the most convenient and cheaper parking BUT also note that there is plenty of parking along the streets.
