What we're about

A study group primarily using the symbolism of the Tarot to understand human psychology. This group also meanders into other symbol systems including Astrology, Alchemy and Kabala. Come as a beginner or with expert knowledge and we will chat together about how to apply these esoteric sciences to our own human journey.

Explore the symbology of the tarot and practice doing tarot readings

Bank of America Building, upstairs Castro Community Meeting Room

• What we'll do Join us for a fun evening to practice reading tarot cards for yourself and others. We'll review the symbols in the cards and share ideas to use the tarot as a tool for personal growth. People of all levels of tarot knowledge are welcome. No prior experience necessary! We usually have a theme every month to discuss a specific type of reading, explore a specific card, or to share tarot spreads. We’ll update this description with more details about this month’s topic soon. Stay tuned! Our meeting space is easily accessible by public transportation. Take the F, K, L, M or T lines and walk one block from Harvey Milk Plaza. Ride the 33 or 24 bus lines and get dropped off right by the entrance. Taxicabs are reliably available and abundant here. Tip: It’s easier to find parking if you go a few blocks uphill on Castro St. or 18th St. • What to bring Please bring your tarot deck (if you have one), a journal, and a pen to take notes. Our meeting space does not have an electric kettle to make tea. If you’d like to consume a beverage, please bring your coffee or tea in a covered container. • Important to know As always, a $5.00 contribution is appreciated to help us cover the costs of the rental space. However, no one is turned away for lack of funds. See you there!
