AI-SDLC: It's Still Just an SDLC (And That's the Point)
·OnlineOnlineEveryone's talking about vibe coding — just prompt and ship. But what happens when your vibe-coded app needs to handle real users, real money, and real compliance?
This talk looks at what a good AI-software development lifecycle actually requires. We'll look at a few open source projects related this helping problem — AWS AIDLC, BMAD, spec-kit, Superpowers, Compound Engineering, and more — pulling out what each gets right and where they fall short. From there, we'll build up a picture of the patterns that actually work: adaptive rigor that scales from POC to enterprise, domain-driven design as a defense against hallucination, BDD specs as frozen contracts, TDD enforcement the AI can't talk its way out of, and cross-session learning that makes each coding session smarter than the last.
AI doesn't eliminate your process problems — it exposes them. No tests? You're generating bugs at scale. No domain model? The AI hallucinates. No CI/CD? You've just created a merge queue. If you want AI to make you 10x faster, your processes need to be 10x more robust.
Best for developers, tech leads, and engineering managers who are past the hype and ready to build the foundation that makes AI development actually safe.
