What we're about

Fancy a weekend relaxing in the Sun or perhaps a City break and would like someone else to make all the plans (that would be me). This group is for people who want to travel as part of a group, have as much fun as possible without breaking the bank.

BIG Dressy Spring Singles Party in London Sat Apr 6th Max 450

Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington

BIG Dressy Singles Party Sat April 6th Max 450 in the spectacular Conservatory glass atrium at the top of Millennium Gloucester Hotel, SW7 4LH for a classy night of fun and socialising with the most cosmopolitan mix of sociable singles from London and the surrounding suburbs. Intros at 7pm at the bar in mixed groups followed by our Social Circle at 7.45pm to get everyone chatting and then the party with our amazing DJ Carlo until 12.30am. Members can still carry on chatting in the hotel main bar downstairs when our event has finished . We will also be holding our version of lock & key at 9pm and the first 10 couples to find each other will receive £10 each if they hurry back to our reception desk together. Tickets are £17.75 including the ice-breakers and the party with DJ. This is prepaid via the link on our website as everyone is registered with confirmed details to maintain a safe environment. Text Julie on[masked] with full name and email if you would like the link to book. RSVP ONLY DOES NOT BOOK YOU FOR THE EVENT PLEASE NOTE. All bookings are prepaid via our website. If you only RSVP the Meet Up system will send you a message saying you are booked but please ignore this message as you would have needed to have prepaid beforehand to register and have the ticket text on your mobile from our number when you arrive. Your name will also be on the guest list if you have booked. The numbers attending are always far more than you will see on any of the 9 Meet Up groups where our events are shown. Our parties are also promoted on Skiddle, Event Brite, Design My Night and our own website. We also have a big database of existing members as our club was launched in 1994. The Conservatory is a spectacular venue with a high, glass roof, big dance floor with podium in the middle and palm trees coming out of the floor. We have reduced bar prices in our function room bar. DRESS CODE Guys: Dress code is suit trousers and smart, plain long sleeve shirt and smart shoes as a minimum for men. Can even wear full suits or black tie outfits with bow tie if you have them guys. Ladies: It's dressy dress code so cocktail dresses or ballgowns are ok for this party. The minimum smart evening trousers and dressy top. Definitely NO jeans or casual clothes. SOCIAL CIRCLE ICE-BREAKER When enough people have arrived by 7.45pm we form a big circle with ladies on the outside and men on the inside. The men move to the right to chat to the next lady after 3 minutes when the whistle blows and this continues for 15 moves. LOCK & KEY ICE-BREAKER We will give one colour raffle ticket to the ladies and another colour ticket to the men at 9pm when most people have had a chance to arrive. The idea is to find the person of the opposite sex with the matching number and the first 10 couples back to the DJ win a cash prize. This should get everyone mixing and should be great fun. It is still worth continuing to find your matching number once the first 10 couples have taken the cash prizes as this ice-breaker gives you the chance to chat to anyone who catches your eye. FEMALE NETWORKING If coming alone ladies please let us know as we can put you in touch with other ladies coming alone on the female networking beforehand. Obviously you will meet lots of men at the events but ladies usually feel safer if coming alone with other ladies. Once again, please text me on[masked] with full name and email if you would like the link to book our BIG Spring Singles Party April 6th. Regards Julie Davies

SPAIN WEEKEND AWAY

Needs a location

Hi Everybody, after the great success of our 1st trip away here is the next one I have organised. This time it is a trip to ALICANTE IN SPAIN a lovely 4* hotel not too far from the Airport so that we can make the most of our time away and where the average temperature will be 18/23C. I only have 12 spaces, two of these have gone already to people who joined me on the last trip. Please do not leave it too long if you are interested. Breakfast & Evening buffet meal will be in a group setting to accommodate anyone coming alone like myself. This means you can choose whether to relax by the pool or explore surrounding area at your leisure during the day or hang out with other members of the group. Discussions about what people intend to do seem to happen at meal times. The hotel is located 650 yards away from San Juan Beach in Alicante and 10 minutes’ drive from the city centre. Nearby is the Castillo de Santa Barbara Castle and Canelobre Caves. It has an outdoor pool, gym, sauna, air-conditioned rooms, satellite TV, a safety deposit box, free Wi-Fi connection in public areas and 2 tennis courts. When: 16th to 19th May. I realise it is some time away but to get the best deals it pays to book early. Here’s what’s Included: Return Flights from Gatwick – Thursday evening & Sunday evening Airport Transfers from and to the airport in Spain Accommodation 4* hotel with good reviews Breakfast & Evening Meals What’s not included: Travel insurance Hold baggage Drinks that are not offered with your meal Any excursions you may wish to go on NOW THE IMPORTANT STUFF: Cost: Double room sharing with someone £300.00 per person Single Occupancy Room £370.00 per person A non refundable deposit of £170.00 is needed by 14th March to secure your booking and guarantee this price. The balance will be due by 16th April. Once you have said yes on the meetup group I will email you personally on meetup with my contact details and the next steps, as there was a wait list last time if you do not respond within 48 hours I will offer your place to the next person. On Sunday 28th April I will arrange a meetup in the afternoon for those people who are going to meet each other and pick up your boarding passes.
