Pikey Peak (4065m) offers sweeping panoramic views of eight of Nepal’s highest peaks — including Mt. Everest (8848m), Makalu (8463m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Lhotse (8516m), and Annapurna (8091m). On a clear day, the vista stretches from the Dhaulagiri range in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east.

Rising to 3886m, Xueshan is Taiwan’s second-highest peak and one of the most scenic climbs in East Asia. From tranquil pine forests to high alpine ridgelines, the trail rewards trekkers with sweeping views across the central mountain range.

#### About the Trek

Most ridge treks in Shei-Pa National Park are challenging and not suitable for beginners. To make the summit more accessible, our trek follows the main trail via Wuling Farm, offering a gradual ascent suitable for a broad range of fitness levels.

#### 3-Day Xueshan Main Peak Trek

Day 1 – Qika Cabin (2460m)
Start with a gentle 2 km ascent through pine forests to Qika Cabin, enjoying cool alpine air and lush scenery.

Day 2 – Temporary Campsite (3000m)
The trail opens to stunning views of Nanhudashan and Hehuanshan. Trek the “Crying Slope” switchbacks and trek to Xueshan East Peak. Camp at the temporary site near 3000 m.

Day 3 – Summit (3886m) & Descent
This will be a long day, covering a total of 14.6km. Begin before dawn through the Black Forest, into a vast glacial cirque, then the final 1 km to the summit for panoramic views. Descend to the campsite and then continue to trailhead and spend the night at Wuling Farm.
Note: With 369 Cabin under reconstruction, we’ll stay at Qika Cabin (Dormitory beds) and the temporary campsite (single tent for each trekker).

The Meili-Yubeng trek offers a diverse and meaningful journey for trekkers of all levels. The trails wind through mossy forests, high mountain passes, and remote Tibetan settlements, revealing spectacular landscapes at every turn. Along the way, trekkers visit iconic highlights such as the turquoise Ice Lake and the Sacred Waterfall – both surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery beneath the towering peaks of the Meili range.

Although the trek takes place in the highlands of Yunnan, the trails are largely snow-free during the trekking season, making it an approachable high-altitude journey. Trekkers walk through forests, across streams, and beneath the dramatic presence of the sacred peaks of Meili – a landscape that feels both powerful and peaceful.
