Join others in our well-appointed electronics lab for a hosted, free-style night of electronics exploration and tinkering.

At Open Lab you can:

• Get help with your electronics projects including program microcontrollers
• Learn a new skill like how to solder or how to use tools like Oscilloscopes
• Get help getting started with electronics for repair, special projects, art, or cosplay
• Access tools and supplies to repair electronics in small appliances and electronic devices
• Your hosts have a variety of skills and access to tons of resources all in a well-appointed electronics lab set up for social distancing.

Get going on your aspirational mending projects – you know that pile in the back of your closet with ripped clothes, moth-eaten curtains, and your favorite tote with the torn handle! Your knowledgeable host can help you choose the technique for your repair, provide guidance if you hit a snag, and share thrifty tips for successful mends.

What to Bring: Your textile repair projects. Please launder any clothing you plan to sew before you arrive.

Your hosts can help you get started, and provide practice projects, or recommendations. We are not offering 1:1 lessons at this open lab as host time and assistance is limited. We may give demonstrations if time allows or when we have guests.

What to bring:
We stock basic supplies, but it is a good idea to bring your own specialty supplies or personal scissors if you are picky – we get it. Please be sure that all clothing is freshly laundered before bringing it in for repairs or alterations.

This tour goes all the way through the 6 rooms at Ace! Your tour guide will take you through all the basics and can provide help signing up as a member.

Please DO NOT arrive more than 5 min. early or late as we will not be able to accommodate extra tours or early starts.

If you get here really early there is a beer garden on the corner that serves a great pint or lemonade.

Please note that there are stairs involved.
