Hi welcome to Social Activities. We do all sorts of activities that include kayaking, camping, hiking, nature walks, photography, biking, scuba diving, snorkeling, cooking events, BBQ's, poker nights, and just about anything to do with socializing.
So, if you are new in town or just want to meet fun and adventurous people this group is for you.

This meetup group has a "no-flake policy": if you RSVP and don't show up, you will be banned from the group at the discretion of the organizers: no questions asked. Our organizers spend time out of their busy schedules to plan great events for our members. For those who just flake outright, it's pitiful, disrespectful, unprofessional, and utterly lame.
With that being said, come join us. You won't regret it.

Want to help create one of the most welcoming LGBTQ+ community gatherings in San Diego? Join us for a casual meetup to learn how you can get involved behind the scenes with The Big Gay Picnic.
The Big Gay Picnic is a free monthly community potluck in Balboa Park where people come together to meet new friends, share food, play games, and celebrate community in a relaxed outdoor setting. Everyone is welcome—whether you come solo or with friends.
But events like this don’t happen by magic… they happen because of awesome volunteers like you.⚠️ Important Note
The date listed for this Meetup is not a volunteer shift and no event will take place on that date.
This event is simply to recruit and connect with people interested in volunteering for the Big Gay Picnic.
Actual volunteer opportunities will take place on the dates when the Big Gay Picnic events happen, and volunteers will be contacted with those details after signing up.

The Big Gay Egg Hunt: Keep your eyes peeled for treats and surprises!
Community Potluck: A seasonal spread of snacks and sweets.

Please bring one of the following:
A sharable dish for 6–8 people (think spring salads or festive treats).
A digital donation online or cash at the event.
Sign up to bring needed picnic items or a bag of candy for the hunt.

Balboa Park parking is now PAID PARKING. The area surrounding the picnic is metered.
Rate: $2.50 per hour (up to $10 a day).
Limit: 4-hour maximum.
