Rekindling Our Homeland: SG60 - Riverside Ramble

We continue to celebrate nation's BIG 60th celebration - a leisure walk along the Singapore River to appreciate its surroundings

Starting in Queenstown, we'll walk along the Alexandra Canal Linear Park, a serene and green stretch of the Park Connector Network. This path offers a peaceful contrast to the city's hustle, despite its proximity to the urban core. The route will lead us through lively areas like Robertson Quay, where the riverbanks are lined with modern condominiums, hip cafes, and stylish restaurants. We'll cross iconic landmarks like the Alkaff Bridge before reaching the bustling heart of Singapore.

On a quiet weekend, we'll see the historic trade and commerce areas and pass iconic tourist spots like the Merlion statue, the Esplanade, and the Marina Bay area. We will end the walk at Maxwell Food Centre, a perfect place to get your favorite local foods fix :-)

• To bring enough water to stay hydrated.
• To have a light breakfast before the walk.
• The weather can be unpredictable, so please be prepared for potential rain.

Route: Queenstown MRT - Alexandra Canal Linear Park - Zion Road Food Market - Clarke Quay - Merlion Park - Maxwell Food Market

Time: 2 - 2.5 hours
Meeting Point: Queenstown MRT Station, Exit A.
Start Time: 7:45AM sharp
Target End Time: approximately 9.45am - 10.30am
End Point: Maxwell Food Market

1. Pace: We will maintain a moderate walking pace while enjoying the homeland scenes.
2. Early Departure: Please inform the Event Host if you need to leave early.
3. Punctuality: We will start promptly at 7:45am
4. Weather Updates: In case of severe weather conditions, we will provide an update on the morning of the event day.
5. Waitlist: Please note that the waitlist may not be processed in order. We may prioritize spots for participants training for upcoming hikes/trips.
