Speaker:
Nithin Mohan works at the frontier of AI and Supercomputing, building the teams and technologies that transform how enterprises and research organizations solve their most complex challenges. His career has taken him from scaling early-stage innovation at a startup that reached a successful exit to driving global adoption of AI and High Performance Computing at HPE, including the deployment of Frontier, the first exascale supercomputer. Nithin expertise at turning breakthrough ideas into systems that matter, he thrives at the intersection of technology and strategy, collaborating with engineering, product, and business leaders to translate cutting-edge AI and HPC research into solutions trusted by customers worldwide. He is equally passionate about mentoring diverse teams and creating environments where innovation flourishes, and carry that commitment beyond HPE: He serve on the technical program committees for ISC and SC, hold a Senior Executive Fellowship at The Digital Economist, and co-founded AI Collective Boulder to make AI literacy free and accessible. His mission is to push the boundaries of what AI and Supercomputing can achieve for industries, communities, and society at large.
Topic:
Enterprises spent 2025 proving agents work and 2026 deploying them fast. What most skipped was the integration and modernization work underneath. That deferral is now arriving as agent sprawl: dozens of autonomous agents wired into systems built for humans, running in isolation, with no shared context and no central oversight. The failures are not loud. They compound quietly across agents nobody coordinated, which is exactly how integration debt collects interest. This talk makes the case that the agentic era is a legacy modernization problem, not a model problem, and that the bill for skipping the hard part is now due. The organizations pulling ahead are the ones paying it down on purpose, through integration discipline, observability, and bounded authority, rather than buying another model.
