Let's discuss Lean/Kanban topics you are interested in. We'll use Lean Coffee format to produce a dynamic agenda and then guide the discussion on the most popular suggested topics. Come get answers to your questions and learn more about Agile, Lean and Kanban
We will meet on zoom. You must register in advance for this meeting:

- Agile Austin Book Club: Calling Bullshit, session 2, NOTE DATE SHIFTLink visible for attendees
We're reading Calling Bullshit, by Carl Berstrom and Jevin West. We'll discuss through chapter 5 November 16th, continue the discussion December 14th and conclude December 21st (or more likely January 4th).
I'm expecting a spirited discussion, so I expect we'll fill all three slots, but as usual we are agile and replan based on new input!
-
NOTE THE DATE SHIFT, the Agile Austin holiday party is 12/7, so unless we want to crash the party and talk about bullshit (doesn't sound too weird at all) we'll shift a week. Completing 12/21 may also shift, we'll figure that out at this meeing.

Do you have a book to recommend? Please submit this form, so our program committee can consider it.
*** We're still on Zoom, but looking to go hybrid soon. ***
(The Zoom link is visible at right after you register. The link to the Miro discussion board will be emailed to registrants shortly before the meeting, and probably posted in the Zoom chat by somebody.)
Also, we're looking for participation in a grand experiment to take Book Club hybrid. None of these roles is intended as a single person, i.e. we'll share out the responsibilities:
- If you would like to be one of the in-room facilitators, please contact jim.brisson@agileaustin.org.
- if you'd like to be on the program (book selection) committee, please contact david.white@agileaustin.org
- if you're interested in being a scribe to capture what we discover, please contact PatrickBInman@gmail.com.
- If you have a lead on a venue in the Austin area for our hybrid meetings, please contact ned.horvath@agileaustin.org
- If you're interested in being a "link" between online and in-room participants—no experience necessary, we're trying to figure this out!—please contact Ned, or Jim, or Patrick
We'll continue to be pure-virtual until we find a venue, so if you know of a place, please speak up!

Remote Process
Our process is in flux -- we're experimenting with new moderation and recording techniques, so please be on time and please be patient. And expect a call for participation -- we want this to be your book club.
Discussion Notes
for this and all our books may be found here (this recently changed). Notes are open to comment by anyone (please do!) and you'll also find how to get REIMBURSEMENT for books and the READING LIST for possible future books. (Discussion notes may or may not be taken in future -- we're experimenting to see what's valuable.)
About Book Club
We meet most months the 1st and 3rd Thursdays, so you can put that in your calendar. When and if we resume physical meetings we'll feed you, and if you participate in most of the sessions, we'll even reimburse you for the book, so save that receipt.
We have not recorded Book Club sessions in the past, but that could change:

Note: due to the various celebrations on or about the solstice (Festivus, Yule, Hogswatchnight, Ike Newton's birthday, Mithra's birthday, to name a few) there's a good chance this one slips to January 4th 2024. Go ahead and sign up, if it slips you'll be notified.
