About us
About us
AI is the topic you cannot get away from. Strip away the noise, and one question remains: what does it actually look like in a real business, for real people doing real jobs?
That is the gap. We are all told AI will make us more competitive, efficient, and productive. What we are rarely shown is how.
AI in the Wild is a monthly London meet-up for people who own a commercial outcome and are being asked to make AI deliver on it. We exist to show what applying AI actually looks like in practice, not in a demo or a keynote, but in the messy reality of a working business.
What we're about
Honest stories. What people are genuinely doing with AI, what worked, what failed, and what they learnt.
The failures matter as much as the wins, because that is where the real learning lies. Most AI content shows you the polished case study. We are interested in the part everyone skips: the pilot that went nowhere, the tool nobody adopted, the project that was killed six weeks in, and the reasons why.
The format
Each session runs three short talks with time to talk properly afterwards:
We’re aiming for talks that cover practical applications, evidence, and honest post-mortems of AI projects.
We’ll have food- think hearty slices of pizza rather than tiny canapés that leave you scurrying to McDonald's later that evening
We’ll also aim to build in lots of time for networking and conversation, which is often the most useful part.
Who this is for
This group is for people in marketing and the commercial functions around it, the people expected to turn AI into revenue, efficiency or better customer experience.
You will feel at home here if you work in:
- Marketing (brand, demand generation, digital, content, campaigns)
- CRM, lifecycle and customer marketing
- Ecommerce and digital commerce
- Sales and revenue operations
- Customer experience and service
- Data and analytics in a commercial context
- Business owners and leaders responsible for growth
Who this isn't for
We are not an engineering or machine-learning meet-up. If you want to go deep on model architecture, MLOps or building AI systems, there are excellent London groups for that and we would happily point you to them. Our focus is the commercial application layer: what to do with AI, not how to build it.
We are also not a place for sales pitches. Speakers are vetted for vendor-neutrality, and that includes us.
Come along
Join the group and bring your own stories, especially the ones that did not work.
