ADK Evening Paddle - Coeymans. Hudson River (tidal)

Be on the water BEFORE 5:00pm. Plan to arrive at least 15-30 minutes ahead of launch time. We begin paddling promptly at 5:00pm.

Take the NY Thruway to Exit 22, and after the tollbooth take a right on Rt.144 south for about 4 miles. Then take a left on Westerlo St to Coeymans Landing boat launch.

We will explore the mouth of Hannacroix Creek and the shores of Schodack Island State Park where bald eagles are often seen.

Rentals are available through Upstate Kayaks during the Upstate season. Contact them to make arrangements, at least a day before the paddle.

You must wear a securely fastened PFD and have a white light and whistle (required!). NO cotton clothing.

Pay attention to water temperature as well as air temperature and follow cold water guidelines for attire.

Plan on joining us for the PCM (Paddlers Committee Meeting, all attendees are automatically members of the "Committee") after the outing. We will hold the PCM at Yanni's too at the launch site.
