Scenic Upper Pawtuxet Paddle – Sunday, June 15

Afternoon paddle on the beautiful Upper Pawtuxet. If the Mountain Laurel is out in full bloom, it will be cascading on both sides. If not, we’ll enjoy what’s left. This is an easy paddle. All sizes and types of kayaks are welcome. Last year we had SUPers who enjoyed this paddle. I hope SUPers will come this time too!

MEET TIME: 3 PM or sooner to facilitate getting us all in the water

BRING: PFD must be properly worn. Bring something to drink and snack. Bring extra clothes in a dry bag and have some in your car as well. If you don’t have a dry bag, I have extra. Dress for the weather. Water temp will still be cold this early in the season. Bring $$ for dinner after.

LAUNCH LOCATION: Hope Furnace Road, Hope, RI 02831
Hope is a village in Scituate. Hope Furnace Road runs off route 116.
Use 4 Hope Furnace Road, Hope RI 02831 for GPS. This is the address of Rufino’s Pizza which is at the beginning of the road. The entrance to the launch is 50 feet down on the right.
RENTAL: I have one 12 foot AMC recreational kayak for rent. Since this is only a half day, rental will cost a whole $4. Rental includes PFD, a paddle and kayak. If you want to rent it, please call before Sunday.
