What we’re about
Hi everyone!
I’m Armandina Ramírez, a psychologist and founder of [Nutrimind.life](https://nutrimind.life), and I’m excited to welcome you to Amsterdam Mental Health!
This group is about creating a space where we can connect, share, and support each other to take care of our mental health. Life in Amsterdam can be beautiful but also full of challenges, especially when we are trying to find a balance between adapting to a new country, career pressures, social life and the stress of everyday life.
Why did I start this group?
I’ve always believed in the power of real, face-to-face connections. In a world where we spent so much of our time online, I wanted to create a community where we can meet in person, have meaningful conversations, and build connections that can inspire us.
Who is this group for?
Anyone who cares about their mental health and well-being! You can be an expat finding your way in a new city, a local who wants to connect with like-minded people, or someone curious about mental health, you’re welcome here :) You don’t need to be an expert—just come with an open mind and willingness to share and learn.
What can you expect?
We’ll host a variety of events, from casual meetups to talks and workshops focused on practical tools for managing stress, building resilience, and improving overall well-being. We want to create a supportive and inspiring community where we can all grow together.
I am really excited to meet you all and build this community together. Let’s make mental health a priority and have some fun along the way too!
See you soon!
Mandy

Romantic relationships across cultures can be magical—and messy. From misunderstandings to mismatched emotional needs and expectations around intimacy, love doesn’t always speak the same language.
This interactive meetup is for internationals, expats, and bi-national couples who want to better understand the challenges and gifts of cross-cultural love. Whether you're in a relationship now or reflecting on past ones, come share, connect, and walk away with insights you can use.
Facilitated by a psychologist and a sexologist, this session will also open space to gently explore how cultural background shapes your views on sexuality, desire, and connection.
What You’ll Explore:
✅ How emotional needs, communication styles, and conflict resolution are shaped by culture.
✅ How cultural backgrounds impact intimacy, desire, and comfort with sexuality in relationships.
✅ How to build a flexible mindset that embraces cultural differences as strengths—not obstacles. You’ll leave with more clarity, connection, and a few laughs about how beautifully weird love can be across cultures.
