What we’re about
Set yourself free with the rhythm drummers and dancers co-create in the moment.
Annapolis Drum Circle has been hosting drop-in community drum and dance circles in the greater Annapolis area for more than 25 years.
Our trauma-informed circles are welcoming for new drummers, and because they’re very lightly facilitated, experienced drummers find plenty of space to improvise.
Dancers of all backgrounds are eagerly encouraged to help shape the rhythm.
We draw from a full range of world-drumming traditions, with each participant adding what’s in their heart.
Play your own instrument or one of the extras we always freely share.
Most of our circles are free. Donations are encouraged at some venues to cover venue expenses.

ALL DRUMMERS WELCOME. We’re the Live Drumming!
We’re co-creating an interactive exchange with the dancers in the moment.
Drummers – it’s free. Just show up.
Dancers, please register at unitybythebay.org/movegroove. Or $20 at the door.Set your spirit free to embrace the joy of dancing in your human body. Let it soar in an energy we co-create with the drummers.
Feel the sizzle, create the freedom. The dancers' energy guides the drummers to carry the dancers exactly where their spirits want to go. It’s a drum circle on steroids.
We don’t perform for anyone. This is connection — to self, to rhythm, to each other. Drummers lift the dancers with infectious beats they can’t resist. Dancers move to the groove through guided motion, in an authentic shared experience we create in the moment.
Kristen safely guides us on a graceful and energizing journey of movement — playful, powerful, and unbound by style or genre. With a lifetime devoted to the empowering sacred art of dance, Kristen helps us reclaim our freedom, moving with joy and intention.
Chad keeps the energy flowing, reflecting and amplifying the dancers’ vibrations in the drums. Chad brings deep presence rooted in spiritual drumming to the pulse of the circle.
Raise your vibration. Raise your heart rate. Stretch and strengthen your muscles — especially the ones that shape your smile.
Bring a drum or grab one of ours and join in the rhythm. Offer the dancers exactly what their spirit is calling for, and feel the joy rise with the beat.
Loose clothing, athletic shoes & a water bottle are recommended for dancers.
No experience necessary — just bring your spirit.
