Paddle and Fish the Namekagon River

Details

Join us for a 14 mile paddle on the beautiful Namekagon River from the Hayward Landing to North Springbrook Landing.

We'll begin the shuttle from the Hayward Landing at 10am sharp. Be unloaded and ready to shuttle at that time. If you are camping with us at Earl Park Landing, the caravan to the put in will depart at 9am sharp.

Plan on being on the water for about 5 hours. This section has numerous Class I riffles and minor rapids, with one trickier rip near Groat Landing and a sizable drop near Stinnett Landing. Anyone who has paddled some moving water should have no problems.

This trip is suitable for novices in any length boat, as the Namekagon is open and relatively shallow. Shorter boats will have an easier time negotiating the light whitewater on these sections.

We'll stop to eat our packed lunches at one of the riverside campsites.
We'll base camp at Earl Park Landing for this trip.

Camping is free, but first-come, first-served. Some of us will probably secure a site on Thursday night, but we've never had a problem securing enough space for our group if we haven't arrived until Friday afternoon. RSVP separately for the camping event so we know who to expect and make room for.
