The National Nordic Museum Awaits!

Details

It has been awhile since we have visited the National Nordic Museum in the Ballard neighborhood ("ya betcha") so let's go this month! They have a new, cool exhibit, with a short summary below:
In Origin Stories, acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Nina Katchadourian (American, b. 1968) exhibits five projects about family history, traditions, games, and mythologies which have shaped her artistic practice.
The link to a more complete description of the exhibit is https://nordicmuseum.org/exhibitions/nina-katchadourian-origin-stories. The cost of the tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for children and folks 65 and over. There is not a close Light Rail Station nearby, but there is parking at the paid lot adjacent to the museum and also parking on the street is free in Seattle on Sundays. Here is more information on parking:
The National Nordic Museum’s paid parking lot is located on the south side of the building and can be accessed from the corner of NW Market St and 28th Ave NW. Parking starts at $2.00 (plus taxes and fees), and must be paid at the parking kiosks located at the base of the stairs or online via Premium Parking(Opens an external site in a new window).
Alternative parking options are available along NW Market Street, in the residential neighborhoods surrounding the Museum, and at the Hiram Chittenden Locks parking lot—a five-minute walk to the Museum.
After 1.5 hours at the museum, we will walk to The Garrison, a fun restaurant at 2319 NW Market Street, the center of dining and fun in Ballard. Hope you can join us!
