What we’re about
We are one of the largest foodie group with special emphasis on all Asian cuisines with about 3,000 members. Meet other local foodies at many dining events who wish to share Asian food and explore new Asian restaurants around town. You don't need to be Asian to join, but you do need to love dining on Asian food! We will explore both high end gourmet as well as highly recommended local dives in search of great places to eat and meet like-minded people.
Asian cuisines we will dine on include: Chinese, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Indonesian, Burmese, Nepalese, Filipino, Korean, Malaysian, Lao, Mongolian, Taiwanese, Pakistani, Turkish, Cambodian, and others.
The emphasis will be on quality food with a pleasant ambiance. Meetups will be scheduled in the San Gabriel Valley, West Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, the South Bay, Long Beach, West Hollywood, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Downtown LA, Little Tokyo, Mid-Wilshire, and Orange County.

Attendance Policy: If you cancel with less than 48-72 hours, at the discretion of the event host or organizer, you will receive a strike,. If you no show, you will receive a strike. 2 strikes and you are suspended.

Monorom Cambodian Restaurant is in the heart of Cambodia Town in Long Beach.
Long Beach's Cambodia Town is the LARGEST population of Cambodians
outside Cambodia, even more populous than the Cambodian population anywhere in Asia except Cambodia!Monorom has an excellent reputation amongst Cambodians. Their food is tasty, the service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are modest.
The decor is authentic Cambodian.I have eaten here multiple times and taken friends and family here to eat. I have tried several restaurants in Cambodia Town and this is one of my 2 favorites. The other is Phnom Penh Noodle Shack which opens and closes early.

Cash only in small bills. No more than one $20/larger bill. Guesstimate is $35 or $40 but please bring $50 as it is better to have too much than not enough.
No credit cards, no separate checks. I will not take venmo, paypal nor zelle to settle your portion of the bill.
At least 48 hours if you need to cancel. Otherwise, you receive a strike.
2 strikes and you are out for 6 months.
No +1 UNLESS I know you as we have had major problems. The workaround is a $10/person deposit via zelle, refundable in full at the restaurant only.No event fee, no deposit, no annual dues.

If you live far away, I will ask you to confirm. People who live 40, 50 miles from a restaurant tend to be no shows in all too many cases.
You will love the food! We have also been to authentic Burmese and Laotian restaurants and will go again.

The strip mall has a free parking lot in front plus there is free street parking on Anaheim Street and the side street on the corner. Carpooling is encouraged.
