  • Atheist TV Party

    CFI

    $4.00

This is TV 2B Discussed (Viewed, reviewed, and perhaps argued!)! We’re kicking off the party by watching episodes of Black Mirror, a British science fiction anthology TV series. Episodes focus on humanity’s relationship to technology and its consequences (watch out!). It’s The Twilight Zone except it’s all possible! Each episode is stand-alone and varies between 41 and 89 minutes in length. We’ve watched San Junipero and White Bear. Help us decide which episode to watch at our next meetup. If you bring a snack it’s a perk for us all. But we’d appreciate your paying for your soda. 3 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of the month in the upstairs conference room at the CFI building. Free parking in the back of the building.

  • San Fernando Valley East - 1st Monday

    Robin Hood British Pub

Meet with fellow Humanists/Agnostics/Atheists/etc., have dinner, and share your experiences/ideas/concerns of living in today's world. Food/Drink are optional, but we always like to patronize our host, since they don't charge us for the space. And it’s great "comfort-food" with a full bar, and several on-tap selections. Please bring a favorite or "hot" topic to discuss, or any research you have been doing. The Moderator presents a couple of topics throughout the meeting, but the spin-off discussions are always informative and robust! Feel free to post your ideas/questions/concerns in the chat below. We're always open to new members and persons of widely varying viewpoints. But we mandate courtesy and respect to fellow attendees, and no proselytizing. Foremost, this is a social gathering, and support group for like-minded persons, not a debate club. If you're coming just to argue, don't bother, you're not going to convert anyone. The meetup is sponsored by Atheists United (http://www.atheistsunited.org/). First-time attendees are eligible to receive a free 3 month subscription to the Atheists United newsletter! This meetup will also have attendees from our sister organization https://www.meetup.com/atheists-614
