Hit the Split

When your opponent splits to your 4 or 5 point, the double hit with 4-1 or 3-2 is wrong.

After hitting on the 5 or 4 point, that checker does tremendous work by starting a key point.

The double hit commits you to a blitzing formation, while other alternatives are less committal and offer you better long run prospects and more flexibility.
