We're thrilled to announce the upcoming event from AWS Cloud Club for our students in the Auckland community! Whether you're a seasoned cloud practitioner or new to the field, we welcome you all to join us for an evening of connection with fellow AWS enthusiasts, insightful talks, and, of course, delicious pizza and drinks.

This event will have 2 parts:
Part 1 will be "What I wish I knew: Lessons learned for early-stage builders" by Donnie Prakoso, who's traveling from AWS Singapore to share his amazing insights and experience.
Part 2 will be a career discussion panel in AWS Cloud and Consulting delivered by industry professionals from AWS, Deloitte, Mantel Group and Serko.

In this session, I'll share my journey in the tech industry over nearly 20 years — from working with bare metal servers and configuring RAID to experimenting with VMs and discovering how cloud technology changed everything. I've come to understand that careers in tech are journeys of continuous learning and adaptation. I'll wrap up with key lessons learned to help you understand the fundamentals and avoid common pitfalls. By the end, you'll understand the foundation needed to advance your career.
