TechConnect-AWS User Group Meeting

TechConnect-AWS User Group Meeting

1610 R St ste 301, Sacramento, CA, US

Let’s start 2026 by packing the room for TechConnect – our first AWS User Group Meetup of the year! Come for the great food and networking, stay for the real conversations and fresh ideas! Most of all, TechConnect is about strengthening Sacramento’s tech community: creating a place where newcomers are welcomed, relationships form quickly, and collaboration happens naturally. Bring a colleague, bring a friend, or just bring your curiosity. Let’s build momentum for Sacramento—together.

Agenda & Speakers:

Join us for a Q&A session on latest trends and predictions in AI with Paul Singh, Author of Generative AI for Cloud Solutions: Architect modern AI LLMs in secure, scalable, and ethical cloud environments and Principal Cloud Solutions Architect with Microsoft.

Followed by a practical session on advanced Kiro usage featuring the TaxAudit engineering team. Most teams use Kiro for basic code generation, but TaxAudit implemented steering files (team patterns as code), agent hooks (workflow automation), and MCP integration (tool connectivity) to achieve measurable time savings on development tasks. TaxAudit will talk about their real-world experience, time savings, and optimization strategy, followed by a presentation on advanced Kiro features and implementation strategies by none other than Doc Brown (aka Patrick Santori of AWS). You'll learn when to use vibe coding versus spec-driven development, how to codify your team's knowledge for consistent code output, and practical approaches to workflow automation. Perfect for development teams already using Kiro, engineering managers evaluating ROI, and technical leaders interested in practical productivity gains beyond the AI hype.
