Earlier this month, we kicked off September with the AWS Security Users Group meetup — a strong showing of how security and cloud go hand-in-hand.

Now, we are back with the main AWS User Group Singapore Meetup on Wednesday, 17th September 2025 at the AWS Singapore Office.
Expect another packed evening of cloud insights, live demos, and community connections. Whether you are curious about new AWS services, learning from real-world architectures, or just looking to reconnect with fellow builders, this meetup is for you.

📢 IMPORTANT! Registration Information for AWS User Group Singapore August Meetup

To ensure a smooth check-in process, please take note of the following:
✅ Confirmed attendees will receive a confirmation email before the event titled "AWS User Group Singapore: Registration Confirmed for AWS User Group Meetup – September 2025". You must present this email at the Level 1 Concierge to gain access to Level 5 for attendance verification.

🚶 Walk-ins (those without a confirmation email) will only be considered if the venue has not reached full capacity. Priority will be given to registered attendees with confirmation emails.
🔒 Strictly enforced: No confirmation email = walk-in. Entry not guaranteed.

✅Cutover with Confidence: Data Migration and Modernization with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)

Modernizing legacy applications is a complex journey, especially when it comes to migrating live production data. AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) simplifies this challenge by offering a serverless, resilient, and flexible solution for moving data across heterogeneous sources and targets with minimal downtime.

This session shares insights of how AWS DMS was being used in a real-world modernization project, including how the team
- Performs initial full-load and continuous change data capture (CDC)
- Avoids risky hard cutovers by streaming changes in real-time
- Extends the capabilities of DMS by writing CDC events to Amazon Kinesis
- Uses Kinesis Client Library (KCL) to transform and apply complex business rules before loading into the target system

✅Optimizing Host Monitoring at Scale with AWS
📌Speaker: Vignesh Swaminathan - Quality Assurance Engineer Lead at Amazon Devices

Managing multiple hosts and devices in large-scale QA environments can be slow and error-prone, with manual monitoring causing inefficiencies, missed issues, and delayed automation pipelines. This session presents a cloud-native solution built using AWS Systems Manager (SSM), IAM roles, and Boto3: a Host/Device Monitoring Framework that centralizes monitoring across multiple hosts and devices.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll build a Customer Support Agent that demonstrates the full spectrum of AgentCore capabilities with Strands Agent Framework - from basic conversational AI to enterprise-grade deployment with memory, security, and observability.
