Our speakers will share their experiences and insights from modernizing existing applications, designing enterprise agent architectures, and taking generative AI ideas from prototype to production.

If you're experimenting with AI agents, exploring generative AI architectures, or simply curious about how others are bringing these ideas into real-world systems, this meetup is for you :)

Parents in Singapore receive dozens of school event PDFs via ParentsGateway each term and manually re-entering every date, time, and location into their calendars is tedious and error-prone. One PDF upload, two taps, and every event is in your calendar — that was the goal. School Event Processor — an AI-powered web app that extracts calendar events from school PDF letters and adds them directly to Google Calendar.

Built with Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, AWS Bedrock (Claude Sonnet 4.5), OpenAI GPT-4o as fallback, NextAuth v5 (Google OAuth), pdfjs-dist for client-side PDF rendering, and AWS Amplify for hosting, the app was designed to solve a common, everyday pain point for parents.

✅From Idea to Interactive Map: Building AWS Community Globe
📌 Speaker: Jagateesvaran Rajoo, Software Engineer | AWS Cloud Club Core Team at SIT

In this session, Jaga will share the story behind AWS Community Globe, an interactive project designed to make it easier to discover AWS Community Heroes, Community Builders, User Groups, and Cloud Clubs around the world. He will walk through the idea behind the project, how he designed and built the experience, the tools and technologies used, and some of the lessons learned while turning a simple idea into a working community discovery platform.
