Cote du Rhone -- House Wine - Worthington

Details
For some, the Cote du Rhone presents all the wine one could ever want to drink. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and other red varietals find myriad expressions from north to south along the Le Rhone. Whites are also outstanding. Grenache blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne are the key white varietals, and may be supplemented with auxiliary varietals Bourboulenc, Clairette, Rolle (Vermentino) and Viognier. Prices range from astronomical for the Hermitage in the North to outstanding value in in the Village wines. Pro tip: Seek out a white Châteauneuf du Pape with 10 plus years of age.
House Wine presents five Cote du Rhone wines for our enjoyment at a low $15 per person. We start at 6:45pm but it's acceptable to come later. You queue up at register on arriving, pay your fee and get your wine glass. We'll will have the main table by the register. It takes about 90 minutes to get through the tasting with good conversation.
The tasting is limited to 18 people so we don't overwhelm the small wine shop and their owners. Respect your fellow members and update your reservation so that those on the wait list may attend. Signing up or attendance constitutes your (and your guests') acceptance of the Group's Attendance Policy and Waiver of Liability set forth on our Group Page.
Food: HW allows outside food. If you like, bring something. Several neighborhood restaurants, including Dewey's Pizza, deliver directly in the wine shop.
Parking: Parking is tough. There are two lots behind House Wine, the second back lot is accessed by a lane between the first back lot and the house to the east. There is a city parking lot one-half block west on New England Avenue. Street parking is also available on High Street. The front lot and first back (east) parking lot are almost always full.
