Welcome to Balkan 20s & 30s Social Group (SF)!
This is a casual social group for anyone in their 20s and 30s with roots in the Balkans (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey) living in SF or around the Bay Area.
While we all love big annual cultural festivals, this group is for the weekends in between. It’s just a low-pressure space to meet people your age who get the culture and can probably pronounce your last name on the first try 😉
The best of both worlds: nobody will judge you for drinking water with ice, and everyone will be able to point out the Balkans on a map!
What We Will Do:
-Saturday Afternoon Hangouts: Grabbing coffee together (because the coffee shops here all criminally close at 5pm).
-Weekday Happy Hours: Meeting up at bars where we can debate who has the absolute best ćevapi, burek, baklava, etc.
-Potluck Picnics: Casual park gatherings for cultural exchange and a little taste of home.
📌 Note: All events will be hosted in San Francisco, but anyone across the broader Bay Area willing to make the trip into the city is more than welcome to join!
