Bargain Bin Movie Club

Date, Location, and Logistics are now set!

Like a book or craft swap, this will be a DVD and VHS tape swap. At its core, if you bring a movie, you can take a movie. This isn't for resellers; this is for folks who want to watch new movies or add something new to their collection.

Or, if you just want to hang out with cool people, you can come and just hang out with us instead.

Basic Rules (because rules are good)

How it works:

• People arrive and check in their movies.
• Every movie gets logged.
• Each accepted movie earns 1 ticket.
• Everyone uses their tickets to claim movies

Extra rules:

• No more than 2 copies of the same title are accepted.
• Each participant can bring a maximum of 5 movies.
• Movies must work and be in a case.
• Movies are considered donations if not claimed.

"What does Katana mean?"

Are you ready to learn? Join us for a showing of Samurai Cop, a film about two police detectives (one with a gorgeous long head of hair) who go to stop a Yakuza gang that *shocker* wants to do the drug trade in LA.

Note: This film is rated R for strong violence, language, and some nudity.

Starting at 6, we will let folks settle in, briefly discuss the film, and then
play it. We will have some snacks available for folks as well. Afterward, there will be some time for folks to hang out and talk about the film.

If folks haven't been to the Sequoya Library, the room we booked is perfect for film viewing and has plenty of seating (and air conditioning!). This library location is close to many bus stops, and has a large parking lot.

"It's garbage day!" "NO!" *gunshot sounds*

The three of us personally love Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2, and we think you all will too. This is a Christmas horror movie about Ricky, who, somehow, recalls the previous murders that his brother committed in Part 1, which we get to see bits of in Part 2, forgoing your need to see Part 1. The lead actor really sells the movie and will warm your heart, just in time for the holidays.

Note: This film is rated R for strong horror violence and gore, language, and some nudity.

If folks haven't been to the Madison Central Library, the room we booked is perfect for film viewing and has plenty of seating (and heating). This library location is close to many bus stops, and there are nearby parking garages.
