What we’re about

The Bay Area Explorers Club is a group of people who get together once or twice a month to go on semi-challenging adventures in Northern California. These adventures include backpacking, boating/kayaking, and mountaineering (trekking style) trips. Members are required to be responsible for bringing their own gear, food, water, supplies and anything else that may be required for them to have a successful trip. Trip organizers will be required to organize the required permits and adequately describe the trip so that members have a good sense of the ability needed to complete the trip. Trips typically include one overnight (typically Saturday) stay. Any costs associated with wilderness/camping permits or parking will be described for each event. The distances and challenge levels will be described for each event and each member must understand his or her limitations and assess if the trip is appropriate for themselves before sending an RSVP. By becoming a member of this group you agree to be responsible for yourself and will not hold the organizers of the trip or this group responsible for any damages or harm that might happen to you or your belongs.
