The Havurah is a warm environment open to Jewish singles in the Bay Area to make friends and connections. We're an active, fun group of people, in our 40's to 60's, who are looking to meet other great Jewish singles and enjoy events together.
We hold a variety of events that enable members to mingle and meet – from hiking, happy hours, and going to Jewish cultural events to Shabbat potluck dinners, Sunday brunches, and movie nights. If you have an idea for an event anywhere in the Bay Area that you would like to organize, please let the leadership team know and we can discuss co-hosting it.
Friends, the Havurah asks two things of new members.
- The events of the Bay Area Jewish Singles Havurah are for Jewish singles only. This is one of the few venues for us to meet each other. Come join us and meet other Jewish singles from around the Bay Area! We're looking forward to meeting you.
- Please make sure that your Meetup profile name includes your first name, not just an initial, and a picture (not a cartoon). This will help other members greet you at events and is for overall group safety.

Almaden Lake Regional Park | Search Parks & Playgrounds | City of San José (sanjoseca.gov)Description: Almaden Lake Park offers an easy, flat and enjoyable paved walk around the lake and creek. The park features various amenities such as picnic tables and recreational activities like fishing, bocce ball, and volleyball. Bird watchers will enjoy spotting songbirds, herons, woodpeckers, and red-tailed hawks.
Itinerary & Trail info: We will walk around the lake and then take another trail along the creek. Total time there and back is 1.5 hours.
Where to park and meet: For free parking - park on Winfield Blvd and walk into the park:
We will meet near the restroom /water fountain area.
· If you choose to park inside the park, please be sure to pay the parking fee (yes they ticket) .
· Note that there are two entrances to this park: one is on Winfield Blvd. and the other one is on Almaden Expressway. We are meeting at the Winfield entrance.LUNCH: !2 noon- 1:30 pm (approximately)
We will be having a picnic lunch thus please bring food and drinks to share. Please be sure to keep things in cooler bags with ice etc.
Alcohol is permitted.
There are also BBQ pits, so if anyone wants to grill hot dogs, hamburgers, veggies, etc you are welcome to do so.Details:
Please feel free to join us for both parts of the event, or just the hike or the lunch. The event will be rescheduled for another day in case of moderate to heavy rain.
Please bring water, sunscreen, layered clothing, and food and drink to share.
If you are running late, please walk along the lake and you will find us.See you there!
