About us
Online events related to ML are great, but they are NOT for everyone. And recently, that's most of what I've seen in my feed lately.
Personally, I think mingling and f2f conversation are important parts of these events.
In these meetups, we'll have top-notch speakers give technical ML-related talks while welcoming questions and participation.
I (Philip Tannor) will be organizing some of the events, but I'd probably be open to welcoming another couple of moderators and having events organized by various teams and people (as long as a high bar for speakers/lectures is maintained).

Hands-On: Automating DataOps Workflows with Proactive Agents
·OnlineOnlineThe upcoming meetup is about "Automating DataOps Workflows with Proactive Agents". 🚀
DataOps today is still heavily manual: engineers investigate broken pipelines, schema drift, metric mismatches, and downstream failures across warehouses, dbt, orchestrators, lineage tools, and documentation.👾
In this session, Omri, CTO at Upriver, will talk about how proactive agents can help data teams move beyond alert-based monitoring by understanding operational context, investigating issues, tracing root cause, and generating automated fixes. ✳️
📆 Date & Time: July 23rd, 2025 | 09:30 AM PT

Topics that will be covered:
✅ Automating investigation workflows for freshness issues, schema changes, failed jobs, and metric drift
✅ Using proactive agents to generate fix plans, validate outputs, and create reviewable actions
✅ Generating validated SQL, Python, YAML, and dbt code grounded in your actual data stack
✅ Where Upriver fit into existing DataOps workflows without replacing the current data stack.2 attendees
