🎉 Fun at Pier 39 + Pre-Sail Party! (Dinner Too!) Landlubbers Welcome!

✨ Come soak up the fun vibes along the San Francisco Waterfront near Pier 39! We’ve picked the perfect spot to gather, laugh, snack, sip, and “play tourist” before our Catamaran Sail. Whether you’re sailing with us later or just here for the party, you’ll feel right at home. 🎡 Landlubbers are welcome — you don’t have to sail to join the fun!

📍 WHERE & WHEN

• Meet-up Spot: Grassy area by the pedestrian entrance to Pier 39, across from the garage.
  👉 Look for the “Old Tyme Treats” booth — and our Sparkly Green Streamers!
• Set-up: Arrive 10:30 am to help us get ready.
• Official Start: 11:00 am the fun begins!
• ⛵️ Sailors: Be at the dock by 3:00 pm at the latest (see our separate Catamaran Sailing event page).
• Not Sailing? Stay and keep the fun going until the sailors return at 5 pm!

🥖 FOOD, DRINKS & POTLUCK

• Bring snacks, appetizers, drinks, or desserts to share.
• Plenty of food carts & take-out options just steps away.
• 🍹 If you’re bringing adult beverages, please be discreet (no clear cups).

🍽️ DINNER AFTER SAILING
For returning sailors, anyone still hungry, or joining us later:

• Boudin Bakery – by Fisherman’s Wharf, 6 minutes’ walk from Pier 39.
• Tasty continental and seafood options, the best Sourdough bread 🥖 big menu (11 pages!), casual outdoor patio, no reservations needed.
• Separate checks = easy for everyone.

🅿️ GETTING TO PIER 39 (Parking + Transit Options)

• Discounted Pier 39 Garage Deal: $30 all-day pass (vs. $12/hr weekends. Yikes! 😬)
• MUST Purchase Parking Pass online in advance (limited supply).
• Select Sunday, August 31, and enter 7:00am–11:00pm to be safe.
• Other Parking Options: Check apps like SpotHero for nearby deals.
• Carpool: Please add your name and location to the Comments and whether you'd like to ride or drive (and how many seats you are offering). If you are riding, please help your driver with gas and parking costs.
• Public Transit: Take BART to Embarcadero Station and walk or transfer to Muni/F-line.

We rely on annual member donations to cover Meetup fees and occasional venue rentals (like this one!).
