What we’re about

About us: The San Francisco OCD & Anxiety Peer Support Group is a friendly, casual in-person support group for adults (18+) with OCD (aka sticky minds), anxiety, and related experiences (aka being human) with almost no structure. We sit, talk, and hang out.

I run this group to give people a space to be themselves and make friends with people who understand what living with OCD, anxiety, and related experiences can be like. From personal experience, I know how isolation can be so detrimental to one’s mental health; I want to ensure that people have a safe space to connect with others who understand.

We meet at 54 Iris Ave, San Francisco, CA 94118

Look for a blue building with silver banding and palm trees in the front with an open garage door. In the garage, a bunch of chairs will be set up in a circle with people sitting together, having fun and socializing.

Remember to wear warm clothes and/or bring a throw blanket to keep warm since I'll have the garage door open for ventilation.

Accessibility info: The space is wheelchair and mobility device accessible. There are mobility device-accessible bathrooms at Starbucks and Peet’s, which are only a block away. The meeting space is scent-free and is low light. Please refrain from wearing anything scented, including lotion and dry-cleaned clothes. This is to ensure that the group is safe for people with chemical sensitivities.

COVID safety info: The space is indoors with a ton of ventilation, so be prepared by wearing warm clothes and/or by bringing a throw blanket to put over your lap.

Fees: There is a suggested donation of $2 per group. This is to cover the annual expenses of hosting the group on meetup.

For more information or questions about the group, feel free to message me. My inbox is always open.
