About us
If you're interested in meeting up occasionally to see a film, mostly independent and sometimes not, and also meet some cool people, then this is the meetup for you. We usually stick to theaters around Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Redwood City. We also meet for coffee or dinner, before or after depending on the movie time.

Cinequest 2026: Ben Hur (1925) @ California Theater
California Theater, 345 S 1st St, San Jose,, CA, USThis year, Cinequest's traditional silent movie is "Ben Hur" - the second of so far 5 cinematic adaptations of Lew Wallace's novel.
Musical accompaniment by Dennis James at the Wurlitzer.(If you're interested, the first adaptation from 1907 is now in the public domain and available here - it's only 15 minutes long)
Showtime is 7.15 pm, we'll meet around 6.45 pm in line at the California Theater.

Oscar Party at Stefan's place
Location not specified yet"Sinners" or "One Battle After Another"? Join Stefan and Daniela to find out on Sunday, March 15. Showtime for the ceremony is 4 pm, the house is open at 3 so we can watch a bit of the pre-show as well.
The party will be a potluck event, please contribute something to share. Use the comment section of the meetup to communicate what you're planning on bringing, so everyone can coordinate.
And of course, in the spirit of not-so-serious competition, we'd also like to find out who can guess the most Oscar winners, so bring a filled-out ballot.
Please only RSVP if you're certain you can attend.
No-shows or very late cancellations are very disappointing for other group members who might have wanted to attend but didn't get a spot.
The exact address of the party will be distributed to attendees a couple days before the event.
