• Friday Night Games at "The Landing" at Crystal City Shops

Crystal City Shops at "The Landing" near the San Antonio Bar & Grill

Let's play games this Friday at the Crystal City Shops in the open area called "The Landing." There are lots of tables for games, and the mall has many eateries where you can get food to go. The Landing is right next to the Crystal City metro stop and, if you're driving, there is free parking after 4:00 pm in the garage. See below for more details. We'll be starting at 6 pm, but feel free to wander in whenever you'd like. If everyone is already in the middle of games, please don't hesitate to pull up a chair and watch a game in progress. We like to play a variety of new board games ranging from silly party games to complex Euro games. Here are some of the games we like to play. • Tzolkin (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/126163/tzolk-mayan-calendar) • Castles of Burgundy (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/84876/castles-burgundy) • Puerto Rico (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3076/puerto-rico) • Stone Age (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/34635/stone-age) • Splendor (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/148228/splendor) • The Resistance (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/41114/resistance) • Spyfall (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/166384/spyfall) Gamers of all experience levels are welcome. It's a friendly group that's always happy to meet new people and teach games. Directions from the Metro If you're taking the Metro, exit at Crystal City and you can walk to The Landing without having to go outside. When you come up the first set of escalators, turn right to enter the underground shops and then turn right at Rite Aid. Continue straight and The Landing will be the large open seating area on your right, next to San Antonio Bar & Grill and Subway. Parking If you're driving, parking after 4 pm is free in the garage. Enter the garage for 1750 Crystal Drive on 18th Street and take a ticket. (You'll need this to exit, but there's no charge). Take the elevators up to Level S. The Landing is the large open seating area next to San Antonio Bar & Grill and Subway. If that parking garage is full, exit the garage and turn left on 18th and left again on Crystal Drive. A second parking garage is located on Crystal Drive between 18th Street and 15th Street. • Bring Your Own Game Night in DC at Nanny O'Brien's

    Nanny O'Briens

Nanny O'Brien's is allowing us to use their back room for some board game socializing. Please reciprocate their generosity by purchasing food and drinks. Happy hour goes from 4 - 8 pm and includes $1 off all draft beers. Free street parking starts at 6:30 in most areas (make sure to read the signs). If you're taking the metro, take the red line to Cleveland Park and walk two blocks southwest on Connecticut (we are located next to CVS). We play a variety of board games ranging from silly party games to complex strategy games. Gamers of all experience levels are welcome. Bring your favorite games to share with the group or just bring yourself and play the games that are provided. Many of the members are happy to teach games and hopefully you will be one too. • Bring Your Own Game Night @ Silver Diner in Clarendon, Wed, 6:30-10:00

Let's play board games. Not the ones your ancestors played but the really cool ones of the new millennium. We play everything from fun, social games to light to heavy strategy games. Don't know how to play? Not a problem - we're happy to teach. It's a great chance to learn new games or play your favorites with non-competitive people who like to laugh. You can build a railroad, eradicate a plague, or explore the far reaches of the galaxy in one evening. While many will bring their own games, you can show up gameless and still play. We play at the Silver Diner in Clarendon on Wednesday from 6:30-10:00. Silver Diner has lots of great food and free parking. It's also within walking distance from the Clarendon metro. Find us in the back of the restaurant, usually on the left side. We're very fortunate to have this great venue for our game nights and they take care of us for 3-1/2 hours, so please spend a minimum of $5 on food or drink and tip generously (at the very least $2, even if 20% of your bill would be $1). Thanks!
