BendCNCT: Central Oregon's Intentional Community

This will be a casual outdoor social meetup where we can relax in the park, snack, play games, meet new people, and enjoy a summer day in Bend. No big agenda, just a fun park hang with good people.

We’ll set up somewhere on the lawn at Riverbend Park, bring chairs and blankets, share snacks, and rotate through whatever lawn games people bring.

## What to bring

Please bring (all items here are optional but appreciated):

• A snack or small dish to share
• A chair or picnic blanket
• Water
• Sunscreen
• Hat / sunglasses
• Lawn games if you have them
• Layers, depending on the weather
• Anything else you need for a comfortable park hang

Good snack ideas:

• Chips and dip
• Fruit
• Veggie tray
• Cheese/crackers
• Cookies
• Trail mix
• Sparkling water
• Gluten-free snacks
• Easy picnic foods that do not require cooking

## Bring a lawn game

If youd like to bring a lawn game, comment below which game you’re bringing so we don’t end up with 12 corn hole sets.

Game ideas:

• Cornhole
• Bocce ball
• Spikeball
• Ladder toss
• Kan Jam
• Frisbee
• Giant Jenga
• Cards
• Uno
• Picnic blanket games
• Any other easy outdoor game

## Dogs

Dogs are welcome if they are friendly and you’re comfortable managing them in a group setting.

## Parking / arrival

Riverbend Park can get busy on summer weekends, so plan to arrive a little early if you want easier parking. We’ll post an update the day of with our exact meetup spot once we set up.

Remote work can be great, but it can also get pretty lonely.

I work remotely and have found myself missing the simple feeling of being around other people during the workday.

So this is a weekly space for remote workers, freelancers, job seekers, creatives, founders, students, or anyone who wants to get out of the house and work near other humans for a bit.

We’ll meet at a coffee shop in Bend on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM for light conversation, casual connection, and coworking. There’s no pressure to network, pitch yourself, or be overly social. Bring your laptop, notebook, job applications, creative project, or whatever you’re working on.

Please buy something from the coffee shop if you’re able. We want to support the places that are hosting us and be respectful of their space.
Come work with us and become temporary coworkers for the afternoon.

This is a workout-focused hike with a steady pace to the summit and back. Whether you’re training for bigger hikes, looking to improve your cardio, or simply trying to stay active, this is a great way to add a challenging outdoor workout to your week.

Pilot Butte may be short, but don’t underestimate it. The climb packs over 500 feet of elevation gain into roughly a mile, making it one of Bend’s best quick fitness challenges.

Workout Details:
• Approximately 2 miles round trip
• About 500 feet of elevation gain
• Moderate to challenging effort depending on pace
• Expect a brisk uphill climb and a great leg workout

Bring:
• Water
• Athletic shoes or trail shoes
• Optional weighted vest or ruck for an extra challenge

All fitness levels are welcome. Go at your own pace, challenge yourself, and celebrate another week of showing up for your health.
