I'm Speaking @ SAFETY DATAPALOOZA :: I Need Your Help!

From: Matthew K.

Hey team,

So, I've been asked (quite abruptly) to present at next Tuesday's "White House Safety Datapalooza". They'd like me to focus on how open DOT data played a roll in the inception / execution of my company Buster, lessons learned, and suggestions on how to make their data (or the experience of using it) better. Quick context: Buster is a marketplace that allows consumers to instantly discover, transparently compare, and seamlessly book safe group transportation online. We are launching next week, but you can check out our alpha here in the meantime.

Considering I will most likely run out of interesting things to talk about around the 4-minute mark, I thought the most productive thing I could do with this stage time is give you, one of the largest and most well-respected open data communities in the country, an opportunity to share your thoughts. The ~400 person audience will be a mix of government data program managers, CIO's, policy makers, and safety advocacy stakeholders.

MY PROMPT TO YOU: In 10 words or less... What are the most urgent and/or tangible thing(s) that this Datapalooza audience could do to push the open data / civic entrepreneur community forward?

Respond on this thread or to me directly ([address removed]) and I'll throw your quote, fully attributed, up on the screen.

Thank you so much for the help!

Best,

Matthew
