From: Noel Hidalgo | B.

If you are looking for a job, BetaNYC started a jobs board. This is a great location to post jobs / request for jobs / etc...

For example, here's the first post by CitiBike's Parent company. They are looking for a web developer <!topic/nyc-civic-jobs/eKl9koydJPQ >.

Go forth and share some good leads!

Noel directed me to this group, and I'm happy to be able to share this opportunity with all of you.

I'm the Director of Technology / CTO at Alta Bicycle Share, the operator of Citi Bike (and other bike share systems around the country including Divvy in Chicago, Hubway in Boston, Capital Bikeshare in DC, Bay Area Bike Share, CoGo in Columbus and Bike Chattanooga), and I'm looking for a senior web developer to work with our team building software that supports our operations across the country.

Our team handles two distinct pieces of bike share operations: the customer-facing sites for each of our cities (like and internal tools that help our staff with their work in the day-to-day running of a bike share system (like our rebalancers, mechanics, dispatch, etc). Our technology stack is mostly PHP right now, though at least one of our internal APIs is written in Ruby, and I'd be open to arguments for moving languages / stacks. Looking for a full-stack web developer, but really I'm just looking for someone who is passionate about software and bike share.

The team is mostly distributed, though the company HQ is in PDX (and I work out of NYC and SF).

You can find the official posting here, but feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions:
