Get out and ride! This is a group for anyone in Arvada, CO or nearby areas to meet up for bike rides around the area. Arvada is a great place to ride, with tons of trails, parks, bike lanes, and great weather. Riding is a great way to explore new areas of the city or get to know your own neighborhood. We have experienced riders to lead rides for all ability levels, including recreational rides (12-16 miles at an exercise pace) as well as shorter and slower kid-friendly rides (3-5 miles at a conversational pace).

BFA 13 Arvada History Ride

Join us for a ride through Arvada history. We’ll visit 10 historic sites in 10 miles. We’ll start at Gold Strike Park at 5500 W 56th Ave and head west along rail and creek alignments. Arrive at 8:45am, ride leaves at 9:00am. After the ride you can continue for 1.5 miles to the Arvada Days Festival at Clear Creek Regional Park. All riders are required to wear a helmet, follow bike safety and traffic laws, and sign a waiver. Our ride leaders will give a briefing 5 minutes before the ride begins and outline the route and other specifics for the day. So try to arrive at least 20 minutes before the ride begins to give yourself enough time to get ready.

We will follow Jefferson County Covid protocols.

What to bring:
• Your bike (in good working condition)
• Water (preferably a water bottle or camelback)
• Your helmet
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses (recommended to keep bugs and sunlight out of your eyes)
• Weather appropriate clothing
• A great attitude and sense of adventure

In 2022 we will be offering two different ride types for different types of riders:
• Family Ride of approximately 5-7 miles traveling mostly on trails
• Rec Ride of approximately 12-25 miles on a mix of trails and on street bike facilities
We will also have a bike corral at several Arvada Festivals.

BFA 14 Brewery Ride

We’ll start at Odyssey Beerwerks, 5535 West 56th Avenue #107 at 2pm on Saturday and then follow the Ralston Creek Trail out to the new Colorado Tap House. The Colorado Tap House is located right on Ralston Creek Trail just west of Indiana and is very bike friendly with 50 individual bike parking spaces. We’ll get a cold refreshment for the downhill ride back to Beerwerks for more cold brews.

BFA 15 Tri City Ride

This is a 17 mile loop on Clear Creek, Little Dry Creek and Ralston Creek Trails which visits the three cities of Denver, Westminster and Arvada. There are new trail sections and detours. The ride leaves from Gold Strike Park at 9am. There is a gradual elevation gain of 750 feet in the first 11 miles and then a 6 mile downhill back to the beginning.

BFA 16 & 17 Family and Rec Pizza Ride

This is becoming a popular ride so we decided to combine a Family and Rec ride. They will leave from Van Bibber Park at 10 am and go to places in the unique western suburbs. The ride will be followed by pizza and soft drinks delivered to the park at the end of the ride. The tab is on us.
