July 9: BIPOC Women's Yoga + Meditation
WW Headquarters, 1206 Euclid Avenue, Boulder, CO, USThe Trailblazers program at Women's Wilderness is proud to announce a new Mindful Yoga and Meditation Series with The Phoenix, a nationwide nonprofit network or volunteers and events dedicated to providing affirming spaces that support sobriety and community building.
The Phoenix model leverages the transformational power of connection and human resilience to build a sober movement. We’re not just dealing with a substance use problem, we’re facing an epidemic rooted in social isolation. Trailblazers is grounded in community and healing, which makes this partnership with The Phoenix an ideal space of support.
In case you're wondering, Trailblazers hasn’t suddenly gotten into the business of doing “recovery work.” We’re just doing what we’ve always done: creating brave, caring spaces for Black, Indigenous, and women of color to connect with themselves and with one another, and now we're doing it alongside a mission‑aligned organization that also believes every body deserves a place to rest, recover, and heal.
Together, we use yoga, meditation, breath, and gentle movement as tools to turn inward and tend to what needs care: your body, your grief, your joy, your hope. You don’t have to be “in recovery” to join us. Whether you’re newly sober, many years into recovery, sober-curious, carrying unspoken grief, or simply exhausted from holding so much for so long, this space is for you.

Sol Sisters: A Mountain Weekend for BIPOC Women
Location not specified yetThere’s something you’ve been craving, even if you haven’t named it yet.
Space to breathe. To move your body. To be outside without feeling like you have to explain your presence or prove anything. To feel joy, ease, and belonging in a place that hasn’t always felt like it was made for you.
This is that space. From July 17–19, 2026, join us for Sol Sisters, a 2-night, 3-day mountain retreat created by and for BIPOC women in the breathtaking landscape of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
This weekend isn’t about pushing harder or doing more. It’s about returning to yourself in community with other women who understand what it means to carry a lot, and who are ready to experience something different.Together, we’ll explore the outdoors in a way that is joyful, supportive, and deeply grounding. Whether you’re brand new to the mountains or ready to deepen your skills, you’ll be met exactly where you are.

- Wilderness safety, maps, and navigation—so you can feel more at home outside
- Yoga, meditation, and restorative practices to help you slow down and listen inward
- Shared meals, laughter, and meaningful connection with other BIPOC women
- Time to rest, reflect, and simply be
This is a space where you don’t have to shrink, perform, or navigate alone. A space where belonging comes naturally. A space where you can begin to write a new story about what’s possible for you in the outdoors—and in yourself.
Spots are intentionally limited to keep this experience intimate and connected. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to say yes to yourself, this is it. Join us.
Hit the Colorado Trail at your pace, always in partnership with your guides. Choose a leisurely montane hike, push yourself on a longer climb, or travel the trail on a run. This weekend holds space for everybody and every pace.

Over the course of four days, we will cultivate our survival skills, strength, and sisterhood, deepening both our inner journeys toward confidence and our outer journeys toward a lasting sense of belonging in the natural world.
This retreat is rooted in a simple, powerful truth: something transformative happens to a woman when she pursues new challenges in the outdoors, especially when she’s surrounded by a community of women doing the same.
