Your key to finding creative events in the Boise area! Social gatherings and classes based on visual arts, crafts, performing arts, writing, and similar genres. All experience levels are welcome!
This group is just getting started and is run by a collaborative group of organizations and leaders in the Arts community, sharing a wide range of events. If you're interested in hosting an event or becoming a sponsor, please feel free to reach out to introduce yourself.

Increase your skills with our drop-in painting sessions! Ages 14+
Ongoing, individual sessions: Wednesdays, 6:30pm - 8:30pm. $30.

This weekly, drop-in style class is great for beginning acrylic painters to expand their foundational skills while painting along with the instructor. Each week we will focus on a different topic such as depicting the light and form of an object, practicing gradients and color blending, and layering simple shapes. All supplies are included, so you just have to show up and paint! Come as often as you like and as your schedule allows...practice makes better! Professional artist and experienced teacher, Jessica Henry, will be your guide. Ages 14 and up are welcome. Minimal experience with acrylics is helpful, but not required.
Optional items to bring:
- Layered clothing, as the temperatures may be difficult to manage in the building

Perfect for beginner, intermediate, and advanced potters alike. Even if you don't need guidance, there will be a Cat Clay staff member available in all sessions to provide support and answer questions!
Booking a session to glaze pieces you've made during a previous session? Just let us know if you plan on making new pieces or glazing pre-made pieces in your registration form.

How do I use my SoulCollage® cards? Learn about how to incorporate your cards into your daily life through readings, journaling, and building a community of fellow creatives. You can tap into your own deep wisdom to answer questions and gain insights into the many life situations that puzzle and concern you.
Your instructor, Char Tarashanti, became a trained SoulCollage(R) Facilitator in 2013 and has taught this exciting and effective creative form in MN, WI, AZ, and now ID.
Session topics:
6/20: Freedom – Explore personal and collective freedom through intuitive collage-making that helps release limiting beliefs and celebrate self-expression.7/18: Roots and Wings – Reflect on the grounding power of core values and the uplifting force of inspiration as you create collages that hold you steady and help you soar.
8/1: First Harvest – Pause to appreciate your progress, recognize new possibilities, and celebrate the early fruits of your efforts and intentions this year.
8/15: Sensuality and Self-Care – Reconnect with your senses and explore how present-moment awareness can nourish your body, ease stress, and inspire gratitude.

Long pose, live model drawing/painting session every other Saturday. Ages 16+
Every other Saturday, 10:00am - 1:00pm. $25.

Bring your paints or drawing supplies and join us every other Saturday for a 3-hour single pose figure drawing/painting session from 10am-1pm! We have a wide range of models who pose for us to keep the subject fresh and inclusive. Models will be clothed in whatever way they choose. We welcome all ages, sizes, and genders. In the past, we've featured people from all walks of life, from college students and grandparents to burlesque dancers in full costume!
Each session will consist of a single, three-hour pose (with breaks). The final 5-10 minutes will be used for a gallery walk to view each other's work and share feedback and support. All levels and mediums welcome, no formal training is provided in this session.
We also have figure drawing sessions on Tuesday nights with several poses per session.
Please bring the following with you:
- A canvas/paper to work on
- Your preferred medium(s) (watercolors, acrylics, pastels, oils, charcoal, etc.)
- Any additional supplies you'll need (brushes, palette, etc.)Optional:
- Your own music and ear buds
- Layered clothing, as the temperatures may be difficult to manage in the buildingWe will provide:
- Floor easels or table with or without an easel
- A small table for your supplies
- Stools/chairs for sitting
- A lovely space with appropriate lighting
- Model(s) with interesting fabrics/props/furniture, all on a lifted stage area
- Music (usually something relaxing, yet lively and modern)
