💬 What are people saying?
“Last night was my first Bolder Women event, and I truly enjoyed it. It is always hard meeting people when you are new to the area, and this group was so warm and interesting. Upon arrival, I was immediately welcomed and introduced to other members.
I know it takes time and effort to establish and foster groups like these. Thank you for all that you do!”

💥 Meeting Description:
Hey Bolder Woman,
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve definitely heard me use this quote. It’s one of my favorites:
“If beating yourself up worked, you’d be rich, thin, and happy by now. Maybe try loving yourself instead.”
~ Cheryl Richardson
😂
It’s so true, right?! And yet, for most of us, beating ourselves up is still our go-to strategy when we’ve messed up.
Just think about it - how many times a day do you berate yourself for…
…not being focused enough
…not being successful enough
…eating that cookie
…overspending
…missing your workout
…mishandling that situation with your kid, your partner, your friend, or your client
…having that extra glass of wine
…forgetting something important
…falling into that same bad habit again
…______________________ (insert your favorite self-criticism here)
I’m not saying any of these behaviors should be ignored if they’re sabotaging your goals, but how many times has beating yourself up worked?
My guess is somewhere between slim and none.
That’s from my personal experience, as well as my understanding of how shame and blame works.
👉 If you’ve read or listened to anything by Brené Brown, you know she’s really clear that shame and blame don’t lead to behavior change; instead, they create disconnection, defensiveness, and more of the very patterns we’re trying to shift.
So why do we still go there?
Here’s my hot take: shame and blame are deeply embedded in our culture. We’re taught that it’s honorable to shame ourselves when we’ve done something wrong. That beating ourselves up makes it right, or at least makes it better.
What we’re not taught is self-compassion. The idea that we deserve kindness, grace, and forgiveness for being human and doing human things.
And yet the latter is far more effective when it comes to actually changing behavior. Our self-worth and confidence stay intact, making it easier to get up, dust ourselves off, and try again - far faster than when we kick ourselves while we’re already down.
🔥 If you’re ready to replace self-criticism with self-compassion, and make it your first response when things go sideways, come join this dynamic session.
We’re going old school with this one!
If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that for the first year, I never had a speaker. All of our sessions were discussion based around thoughtful questions that allowed us to find our own truth and our own “light bulb” moments. And by request, I’m bringing that style back!
So come ready to get real…hold space…and create some transformative insights with your fellow Bolder Women!
I can’t wait to see you there!
With passion and purpose,
Terra
