What we’re about
There’s a good reason why a book is made into a movie. It may be exciting, fast-paced, atmospheric, or just overall beautifully articulated. In this group, we focus equally on the book and the movie/TV show adaptation(s). We get together to discuss the plot, characters, writing style, author, movie style, cast, etc. – anything and everything about the two! We’ll also discuss books that should be brought to the big screen but haven’t yet.
Here, you can let your imagination run wild – do you agree with the way that the author/screenwriter organises the plots? How would you tweak it to make the book/movie even better?
How we roll
At each event, we discuss one chosen book and their movie/TV show adaptation(s). We'll be guided by a list of questions and then the floor is open for discussion. Whether you’ve read the book or have seen the movie, or even better, BOTH, you’re welcomed to join us. Since this is a new group, we’re still working out the optimal meet-up time and venue. Please refer to our upcoming events for details and bring $3 to cover the meet-up fee.
