What we’re about
A group of trail runners that are as serious about their trail running as the breakfast that follows. We enjoy diversity in our trails, restaurants, and running cohorts. Many runs are in the Boulder area; however we also look to get into the high country as much as possible. Runs are typically on Saturday mornings. The duration varies from about 2 hour to 4+ depending on location, group fitness, schedules, etc. Terrain can range from easy flat to steep technical. Pace can vary widely however we never let anyone forget why they joined a group.

Run Walker Ranch from Eldorado State Park
Eldorado Canyon State Park, 9 Kneale Road, Eldorado Springs, CO, USFor Saturday we'll be running the Walker Ranch loop and starting our run from inside the Eldorado Canyon State Park
ROUTE
We’ll meet at the visitor center at the back of the park, which requires vehicle entry into the park, then start on the Eldorado Canyon Trail and connect with the Walker Ranch Loop. I'm thinking we may do the loop counter-clockwise.Total distance is around 14.5 miles and about 3700 ft. of gain. Plan for around 4 hours. Anyone wanting to run shorter, can simply run this as an out/back and turn back at any point.
PARK ACCESS
If you opted for the Keep Colorado Wild Pass when you did your last vehicle registration, then park access is included. If not, there is a daily vehicle pass fee of $10-12 / car. ... or just leave a comment below and coordinate a carpool from the park 'n ride at the corner of Hwy 93 and Marshall Rd / 170. There is limited parking in the park, so we should try to carpool as much as possible.Eldorado Canyon State Park is located just south of Boulder. From Hwy 93, take 170/Eldorado Springs Dr. west until you reach the park. Stop at the entry station if a person is in the booth. If the booth is empty and you need to pay, there are self-fee boxes at this spot as well, otherwise continue to the back of the park.
We’ll plan to start the run about 8:00a.
CONSIDERATIONS
Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed.
Current weather forecast looks nice, so a good day to spend outside! We still have shirts and hoodies available at the Trail Ambitions Store. The hoodie feels really nice as the temperature drops.
