Run Mt. Audubon

Details
This Saturday we will be running up Mt. Audubon, which is a 13k ft. mountain, located inside Brainard Lake Recreation area.
ROUTE
We’ll be starting from outside the fee station (the Winter Lot) and running into the Mitchell Lake trailhead via the Waldrop North and South St. Vrain trails. We'll run this route as an out/back. The route is around 15 miles and 3.5k ft of gain. Plan for around 5+ hours.
The short option is to run as much of this as you’d like as an out/back starting with us at the Gateway parking lot. Alternately you could enter the park and start from one of the trailheads inside the park; however, you'll need to plan your own logistics around the reservation requirement. See the [Recreation.gov](http://recreation.gov/) website for details.
CARPOOL/DIRECTIONS
Options include:
- North Foothills Trailhead at 6:30a – At the intersection of Broadway and Hwy 36, head north on 36 a few hundred feet. Turn right onto the dirt road. Trailhead is a little ways down on your left.
- The side of Lefthand Canyon Rd. just as you turn off Hwy 36 by the Greenbriar Restaurant at 6:45a.
If you wish to meet us at the trailhead, we'll be starting from the Brainard Lake Winter Lot - aka Gateway Trailhead parking lot (this is outside the fee station) around 7:15a-ish.
CONSIDERATIONS
Plan fuel, fluids, and electrolytes for 5+ hours. We’ll be well above tree line and the weather can be unpredictable, so please bring a lite jacket and gloves. Dogs are allowed, but must be on a hand-held leash.
BREAKFAST (READ ACTION REQUIRED)
We'll plan to eat breakfast at the trailhead. Please use the Google Sign-Up Form to indicate where you plan to meet us and what you plan to bring to share. Note: Use the form for entry, the Google Sheet you can review is read-only.
Lastly, we have new BTRBC apparel for sale. Access the Trail Ambitions Store to purchase a t-shirt, hoodie, and/or hat!
