Gestural, boldly unique, experimental are a few words to describe the core of this workshop.
Boulder artist Rodney Swanstrom will demonstrate and direct ways to get in touch with this form of drawing " discovery".

A sure way to kick start your eye -hand coordination / communication.

A still life will be presented to work from (you might also be inspired to sketch someone at the event!)

Please Bring:
Larger size ( 20 x 24 ish ) tablet or newsprint pad to work in.
Charcoal is the preferred medium (vine or square).
Gloves (Optional - can get messy!)

*Paper & charcoal will be available, if needed. Artists will not be turned away! (Donation encouraged)

BIO
Rodney Swanstrom is a multi-disciplinary artist that centers his creative endeavors around his SKYLIGHT motif.
He studied architecture and studio arts in college.
He has worked as a full time illustrator , assisting a fine artist painter in NYC. Worked for Museums and galleries in Chicago , lived and worked as an artist in Mainz, Germany.

Rodney lives in Boulder with his wife, and twin boys.
Currently, he is working on a permanent art installation at a new senior living space in LoneTree, CO.
