Fusing Stones in Place with Gold and Argentium with Ronda Coryell

This is a two-day workshop on Saturday and Sunday May 26 and 27 (Memorial Day weekend).
9 am to 5 pm both days

Set 2mm CZ stones into place using 22k gold. Students will learn to fuse 22k gold and to make earrings and a ring. Amount of gold depends on how much the student desires to use.

Cost: $345 BoMA members, $395 for non-members. Non-member difference will be collected in class

About the Instructor
Ronda Coryell is a Jewelers of America Certified Master Bench Jeweler and one of the world’s most well regarded experts on the use of Argentium Silver. She has a degree in Art Education and founded the Northwest Chapter of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths. Her work has won recognition in competition and exhibition. Split mandrel (Rio #333131 or similar)
Sanding Disk (320 grit) and mandrel (Rio #333128 & 337226 or similar)​

Gold for purchase - materials kit fee of $40 does not include gold. Gold for fusing will be available to purchase, or you may bring your own 18K or 22K gold.

Ronda will bring sheet and wire for earrings with pre-made Argentium jump rings that will be used to fuse the stones into place. Gold is optional. If students want to bring their own gold wire (18k or higher) it should be 20ga (.8mm).

If students want to bring their own diamond, ruby or sapphire to fuse into place, approx 2mm will work best. Ronda will have blue sapphires (light color) for sale for $5 ea.
*Materials kit purchase is required for all our workshops. The kit insures all students have the same tools and materials required to learn the technique and allows the instructor and the students to focus on the technique rather than the materials.

You may cancel up to 45 business days prior to the start of the class and receive a full refund, less $25 processing.
Cancellations less than 45 days in advance won't be refunded.
In the event we have to cancel a class, you will be notified prior to the start date and will be issued a full refund.​
Seats are not transferrable. You may not sell your seat to another student.
