Description: Spend a satisfying morning hiking the full length of the Mesa Trail! Come connect with nature, with others and with yourself in a truly restorative environment, walking at a comfortable pace for conversation. This 6.5-mile (one way) hike from the South Mesa Trailhead north to Chautauqua Park is a delightful spring adventure, with great views galore. This is a great training hike for the Walk 360 Slow Marathon - especially if you walk both ways!
Leader: Darcy Kitching started volunteering with the Boulder Ramblers in 2015. She is the author of "The Best Urban Hikes: Boulder." You can reach Darcy at (720) 805-8293 or besturbanhikesboulder@gmail.com.
Schedule & Planning: We will gather at South Mesa Trailhead at 8 am and leave no later than 8:15 am. Please arrange to carpool or be dropped off, as parking at the trailhead is limited and the trail shuttles don't begin service until Memorial Day. You can use the comment function below to arrange shared rides. If there is interest among participants, Darcy will arrange a reservation for lunch at the Chautauqua Dining Hall.
Trip Notes:
~ Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, sun protection and wear appropriate gear/clothing for the season.
